Ischia is an of island of volcanic nature belonging to the group of Flegree Islands. This place is not too far from the islands of Procida and Vivara in the Tyrrhenian sea. It is The widest and populated isle of the Gulf and it is is famous for its thermal sources, already known by the ancient Romans as that near Nitrodi' Source.
The origin of the island is to attribute to the legend of the fall of the giant Tifeo which rebels to Jupiter... his movement and shake on the earth produced Ischia..but historical sources reveal instead that the island was born from intensive volcanic activity.
